Election 2008 Multimedia: Current Gets It Right

What I really got out of this Poynter article is that Current got it right, when it comes to using new media effectively to capitalize on the presidential (and vice presidential debates).  Integrating “tweets” (Twitter) and interactivity into a traditional video stream is very forward thinking, and is something every multimedia newsroom should be thinking about.  Personally, I’d like to see more uses like this where Twitter is used less as a live-blogging platform and more as a tool for social networking and conversation.

Also, follow me on Twitter. I am occasionally known to tweet professionally when I’m reporting, and will be tweeting on Thursday from Barack Obama’s speech on the University of Missouri campus.
